Question by Katy Newton: What jewelry goes with dark turquoise prom dress?
I am trying to figure out what color jewelry and what makeup works best for my prom look. I have a dark turquoise prom dress with allover turquoise/green/purple beading. I have very fair skin, blond hair, and blue eyes. Looking for what color bracelets/earrings/rings would go with my dress and features…I’m not planning on wearing a necklace because my dress has a criss-cross style neck. Any help is appreciated!

I would go with gold. If you could have a few small pieces of gold jewelry such as earrings, it would look great since your dress seems pretty elaborate. For makeup, I also think gold would look great. Try white eyeshadow as a highlight, gold all over the lid, and dark brown or dark copper in the crease.
Hope I helped!

You could get some gold bangle bracelets with stones or some other accent color (green would look nice), and if your dress has a criss-cross neck, it’s probably sleeveless, so I think you could skip on the rings, or wear a very simple gold ring. I’ve got this fantastic image of peacock feather earrings
But anything blue or green would look nice. I think triangular hanging beaded or cascading earrings would draw attention to your dress, but if you don’t want things hanging off your ears, you could stick to simple studs.

While gold is certainly a choice, since you say the dress is a dark turquoise, I think you’d make a more striking statement with something silver. Silver and Turquoise just seem to compliment each other which is why you’ll find so much jewelry pairing the metal and stone together. With your fair skin, pretty silver earrings that dangle almost to your shoulders would look beautiful. It also won’t hurt to add a little sparkle with some Swarovski crystals. A delicate silver cuff will also work well on your wrist.
Your make up should reflect the colors of your dress but not as dark. Since you’re a blond, with blue eyes, your don’t want your makeup looking too heavy but it should still be dramatic. No racoon eyes here.
Line upper lash line with a dark turquoise pencil. Sweep a light metallic green across the lid from lashline to the crease. Choose a metallic blue or purple to brush in the crease and under your lower lashes. Use a silver highlight under brows, on inner corners of eyes, and on top of the cheekbones. Use a dark brown or blue mascara to extend your lashes.
Would love to see how you turn out and I hope you have a wonderful time.
i think a silver bracelet is ok,if you want to be lavish refinement.
