What does a teacher chaperone wear to prom?

Question by la_flaca0688: What does a teacher chaperone wear to prom?
I am a 22 year old teacher and prom is coming up. I agreed to chaperon, but now I am not sure how to go dressed. Also, what am I supposed to do with hair and makeup. I dont want to look old, but I definitely do not want to look like one of the students. Not on their day at least!

Any suggestions?

Dress nicely, semi formal like you are going to an expensive restaurant.

    Wear a nice elegant dress, but a wear a dull color. That to me speaks out hip teacher :D & good luck!

    wear a black or dark colored simple cocktail style dress- something that will not stand out.
